Hi,

I was just wondering where to acces the value nodes in blender:

According to the standalone manual following Values are available (in standalone):

Bool — A value that can be either true or false
Float — A single value slider adjusts the value
Float2 — Two value sliders adjusts the value (X,Y). The range of the values are dictated by the parameter it is controlling.
Float3 — Three value sliders adjusts the value (X,Y,Z). The range of the values are dictated by the parameter it is controlling.
Float3DaylightSystem — Used for setting all the properties of the Sun/Sky Environment.
Int — A single value slider that adjusts the value in whole integer steps
Int2 — Two value sliders adjust the value of (X,Y) in whole integer steps
Int2resolution — Two parameters adjust the resolution of the render
int2XY — Two value sliders adjust the value of (X,Y) in whole integers steps

since values are needed for e.g. checks node control I was looking for a float2 or even a float3 but couldn't finf it.

Thus I didn't manage to get bump up and running.

are they still under development or am I missing something out here mates?

thnx!

There are just default "inline" values used for this purpose, right inside Octane nodes to not blow up the additional nodes count... But if you really need it for some purpose - I can add the needed nodes.;)

Inline? don't see that in blender.
let's say I want to use an octane checks texture as a bump in an octane difuse material, and i want to be able to both control the amount of bump and the cheks layout. Where do I start?
For the checks texture there is no options.

When I combine octane nodes with blender nodes (e.g. texture cordinate node) it crashes the software.

thnx

I will try to improve the checks texture node, perhaps there should be float2 value inlined by default...
Thanks for pointing it.

Really Sven? This is a bug that I reported way back on the first alpha version but it quickly got sorted out. I've not had any trouble with subsurf since.

So far the subdivision code can have some issues, I'm still working on it... The issues may depend on mesh geometry...
