hi Mr.Karba!
Octane for max doesn't recognize "Chinese font" texture path! It worked for material name, but still don't work as a bitmap path contains Chinese font,so does the texture name!
for example:
a texture named 你好.jpg and then apply to an object,the bitmap path is "w:\你好.jpg" ,so octane recognized as a white material!The Chinese font bitmap can't work!!
but when I change "你好.jpg" to "hello.jpg" or even russian font , and put it into an English bitmap path,say w:\hello\hello.jpg!! Octane works correctly~~ :oops: :oops: :oops:

Could u please fix this bug?? It really slow down my work flow, I have to re-name all texture and bitmap path to English,and it's painful and boring :( :( :( :( :(

Also,could u please add a function called "AutoSave" rendering for every 10 min? It's really important, when I try to render for 20hr or for days, the GPU becomes very hot and may cause auto shut down! when it happens, I got nothing!! everything is gone~~ so , an autosave renders for 5 or 10 min as an .exr file would really helpful~ :geek: :geek: thank you so much~~

I also found a small bug from Xref objects! I don't know if some1 already discussed , but here is the bug!
When I convert high poly objects to xref and then Enable proxy(which shows low-poly obj in viewport) and then I click the "open octane render viewport",octane just render the low poly one(it should be rendering in high poly)
but it's ok when you click the render button, octane render the high poly one correctly!
So if I use octane render viewport,I have to turn off the Enable proxy option(which shows the high poly in viewport,but painful,slow viewport rotation)
Does this small bug mentioned before? also, octane seems can't convert xref materials?(which means I have to re-open the high poly ones to adjust material?)
Could u please take a look at this problem? thank you ~~~

What 3dsmax version do you use?
I have tested this file name in 2013 and it works.

Oh my god~~for 2013 it works now!! I always use 2012 but don't works~~Anyway thx you Mr.Karba!! :D :D :D
