Yes If I had renderd it in the 504x672 vimeo resultion to start with It could have been done faster or higher samples for sure, I wasn't thinking about putting it on vimeo when I did it but next time I might think a bit ahead

Actually I run into the same problem, no solution for that yet though. I read somewhere in the future you could take in 2 object's and not just 1 in octane, then you could just generate several .OBJ from houdini based on material.
But you could ofcourse just open the .OBJ file in another program and assign materials there, a dull task if it's a .OBJ sequence, however I have a little idea how to maybe get around that nothing confirmed though.
