I can confirm that.arh-osa wrote:There is a problem with stop button. I can't restart render on the same node until I render another material/geometry node.

Fantastic release!
I just got one issue, for some reason, when i changed my monitor, the program went full bananas and now it wont run, even if i reinstall it or uninstall and reinstall, it just go to a white window and gets stuck there for no reason, wondering if there is any possible way to fix it, or i might need to reinstall all OS over this?
No issue there, but would prefer to avoid the backup/driver reinstallation thingy.
EDIT: Found out that Virtu MVP software mess up with my Octane installation, just fixed it up deactivating it, I hope this experience helps any other fellow in trouble

Hi Nipparnlert,
Have you changed the hardware at all?
Have you upgraded from an old version of Octane?
Please try de-activating (from the customer are of the website - there should be a link next to your license in the "OctaneLive Accounts" page) and reactivating again.
Thanks
Chris.

There is a problem with normal-mapping when mirrored UVs are involved. It probably has to do with the new invert ability of normal maps (which is a nice feature, btw).
The model below is an early stage project I'm working on. It's UVs are mirrored down the middle. This results in the left side to look inverted, when the normal map is applied to the normal channel. If you invert the normal map the effect just flips - now the right side looks inverted. There aren't any inverted normals or anything wrong with the mesh. First pic is diffuse & normal on their respective channels
Second pic is only normal applied to diffuse channel (so you can see everything is ok with the texture)
The last is only normal applied to normal channel
I hope this wont be too problematic to solve, cause using overlapping mirrored UVs saves a ton of work & VRAM

This whole situation is driving me crazy.
I'm waiting, waiting, waiting ... and the forum is so quiet.
Any news? When octane 1.5?
