Hi!
Im Dennis from germany- becoming a Visual Effects Artist Freelancer.
I know Blender since many years and working with it before 2.49.
From this time an a bought books for blender like The Blender Book, Characten Animation, Physics...

A little bit of informations about me you can get at http://www.df-vfx.de

I can´t show you demo-material, because its still secret. That is because the projects are not published yet.

To have a preview from what im talking about take a look to this two film-projects:
- StarWars FanFilm: http://www.banthapoodoo.de/
- StarTrek FanFilm: http://www.enterprise-fanfilm.de/

This means i would like to beta test Octane for Blender wighted for creative VFX-works.
Things with particles, watersimulations, 3D-Camera-Tracking, Object-Tracking, different passes (for shadow, reflections, AO ...), fracturing...
Mostly orientaded in animating things!

I can attach some stills from some years ago.

Take me :), im interested, im creative, i use blender as vfx-tool, i have time for testings nearly every day in the afternoon :).

Regards,
Dennis F.

Just forgot: This one was rendered with Octane. The woodenmaterial was an own conversion from a yafaray-library. The 2 combined faces were done in gimp. The models/scene setup in Blender.

Man, wish I could apply, but I know I just dont have the time to really get in and test it fully. Best to leave it to someone else. But, I am extremely excited for the open beta :)

Hello. I'm a computer science engineer and two years old Blender Hobbyist. I have participated in Blender Artist, normally solving questions about materials and lighting. I use Cycles and I have used Luxrender. I also report bugs to Blender in its 'Bug Tracker'.

You can see some of my stuff in http://elbrujodelatribu.deviantart.com/.
This is my blog with some Cycles Materials and Tricks: http://elbrujodelatribu.blogspot.com.es/
And this a popular thread I created about cycles procedural materials: http://www.blenderartists.org/forum/sho ... -Materials
Finally these are some models and materials I have shared in blendswap: http://www.blendswap.com/blends/user/1993

I would like to participate in your testing process for Blender.

first I wanna say that is fantastic news that octane for blender is going to beta. I'm cgi hobbiest for about 3 or 4 years and using octane since beta with blender plug in.I'll be happy to help with testing of new octane implementation. I believe this implementation speeds up rendering of animations bring them to higher level with no bugs.I I cant wait testing my work flow from zbrush to blender and render with octane https://vimeo.com/62332222Image ImageImage

Thanks for the massive interest everyone. We currently have enough beta testers, so there's no need to further apply. But don't hesitate to post your excitement for this plug-in, it might get things done a little bit faster :)
