believe it or not, this is about the first image i did with my plugin, that is a little more than a quick test - so it indeed fits the topic title ;)

btw, this started out when i was testing a small new feature allowing to save and load octane materials through .duf user presets ... this means the next update will already have this possibility (to shorten the wait for general material saving a bit). in other words, if a material/shader or character preset is saved, all octane materials will be saved along with it (into the .duf of course), and will load back when applied (optional).

ps: it's a very first implementation, and will need some enhancements regarding workflow and nge integration, but i'm sure it will make live quite a bit easier when working with materials...
The obvious is that which is never seen until someone expresses it simply

Is that the new Super Suit for G2F? It looks like it comes across nicely - did it take much fiddling with materials?

Thanks. that is Super Hero Suit for G2F. This suit is simple, but very interesting. This material is very simple. I was away from the skin using Push Modifier. I expressed the wrinkles by applying the normal map that came with the suit.

Not exactly my first image ... more like my third. The first few were just basic geometry, not very exciting.

This was my first serious attempt at a real scene. And it quickly showed me the limit of my graphics card. Could only load one hallway segment of this GIS set before running out of memory. gonna have to upgrade. :o

Was playing with sunset angles and the environment model. Found it hard to get the etched designs to show up on the glass (the ones on the back wall don't show up at all -- I could get totally opaque or totally clear, but not the designs themselves).

this was the next one, trying a human figure (well toon ... I like 3DU's toon characters)... still in sunset mode (being an amateur photographer I have a preference for the "golden hour").
I wanted a nice sunset glow across the water as the sun set in the distance, but couldn't get the water to look like I wanted, so moved the sun 90 degrees and went with more emphasis on the girl.
