Hi Jimstar,
Thanks for the investigation.
I will see on my pc if it is a problem from hardware first. Drivers, etc. Then I will see if it comes from Maya itself. Maybe too much versions of octane plugin installed.
Question regarding this matter: Do I have to get the latest version of the standalone to get the latest version of maya plugin to work correctly?
My textures are totally normal. TGA or TIFF, some times HDR for the octane sun and sky, but that's all.
I'm running on a GTX680 with latest drivers. I will check if there is an update.
Maybe I have to check that the deadline renders witch are in the background. Some vray renders are happening on the pc, and I think it calls the octane plugin at the begining as these scenes passed throught my PC.
I keep you posted

Hi Jimstar,
thanks for the update! Would it be possible to remove the "Cannot connect to the Live DB, retrying in x seconds" pop-up? Being an offline user, I find it a little bit intrusive.. An option to disable the LiveDB update would be fun too, since it gives me error messages from the beginning of that feature even when I am not rendering with Octane.
With this version, it also prevented me to launch a batch rendering with mental ray. It was sticking on frame 1 while Octane kept trying to connect.
Regards
