I noticed, that when i use my 3d mouse (space pilot pro), the live update does not work. Also the "update geometry" feature does not work in most cases, but thats not a 3d mouse problem.

Am i doing something wrong?

When i use the C4D controls, the live update works without any problems, but when i use my 3d mouse, the render window just updates, when i release the mouse. This is a big issue for my 3d Workflow.

Am i doing something wrong, or is this a bug?

Kind regards Chris

PS: i used the latest beta release! 0.49 (SDK 1.14) with C4D R14 on WIN 7 X64.

Did you see video which show geometry updates? To point objects who are checked for updates need a octane objecttag. Also there is a geometry channel number. 0 is for static meshes. That's will be unchecked. If you give bigger numbers you''ll aasign to update channel.

Which 3d mouse? I have not a device like that

Hello Aokar.

Just purchased and did not see all videos. I just tried 0.3.4 before and there the geometry update worked. Can you please post a link to that special video? Thanks!

I use a 3dconnexion space pilot pro. I also tried with the space navigator (i have both). Same with both. As soon as i release the 3d mouse, the live window restarts to render again, but while i move my 3d mouse, i can not see anything. This is really a huge problem, cause i am used to it, from my 3ds max workflow, where i do "live" animations with the fly through szene, key setting, which is much more accurate, than in the modelling window itself!

Thanks for your fast answer!

EDIT: I found the Video - update is working fine now. Thank you. Watching all Vids right now. 3D Mouse Problem exits further!

Kind regards Chris!

Cool, nice to see you there. I'm going to check this issue about 3d mouse asap. Actually i have'nt.

I have released Beta 0.49 and a fix Beta 0.50. This is in c4d section. Please check plugin announcement threads..
Also Geometry update functions re-writed. And nearly perfect except instance handling.
Enjoy it

Hi Aoktar!

I allready use 0.49 - 0.50 i could not find, but updating geometry works pretty stable here in my first tests. just did not knew, that i had to put an object id to the models.

I made a video for your convenience to see what the "bug" is. In the first part of the video, i move with the c4d standart navigation tools, in the second part, i used my 3d mouse. you can see the difference very clearly i think.

The video is not "listed" and only for you guys, who see this link here, visible. I hope it helps you.

Kind regards Chris!
