this is a bug that was coming with the latest version. a fix is ahead...Ken1171 wrote:I am using the latest version of DAZ Studio 4.5 Pro, and the updated plugin version. My GeForce driver is also updated (I have a GTX580 3GB). It works fine with single renders, I just can't get it to work with DS animations.
Any help on this would be appreciated.

Hum, I just test a scene with V4.2 and morph++ and some design furniture... have eyes point at camera ... and crash at load. OK, have disable octane , point at none and reload.
But the render viewport always at "building geometry". check reload, etc .... nothing.
OK I will wait for next release.
Have just reload some scene that have worked, but now nothing in viewport : "building geometry" progress bar endless !?
will check further tomorrow...

Hi everyboby,
First, thanks to T_3 for this DazStudio plug-in!
Two little things:
- I have found that disabling the loading of the default scene at startup saved me (in preferences). As explained often here, my saved files crashed all the time too when I tried to reopen them. After disabling some unusefull plug-ins (for me..., like Hexagon bridge), I was able to load the most simple files again. But, after disabling the default scene at startup, I am able to load the most complex scenes again. Hope this will help...
- A little bug: when you choose float2 for the scale of a texture with different parameters (like 8 in X and 16 in Y), when you reopen the file the float is back to a simple float. The parameters themself seems to be kept until you change something.
Three suggestions:
- I think it could be usefull to be able to change the material type also in the list on the right of the material tab (and not only in the NGE space).
- For a more logical interface, I think it could be better (well... for the left to right readers of course...) to have the scene surfaces on the left and the Octane materials on center with the content of the selected Octane material on the right. What do you think?
- In render settings tab, there is parameters affecting immediately the current rendering (restarting of the rendering) and parameters of fine tunning (like imager settings or post processing) without effect on the rendering process. I think these should be on two different tabs. What do you think?
Thanks again!

Thought I would give this a try, had no problems myself when doing the above. I also have Daz Studio 4.6 & Plugin: v1.0.113.2305.t_3 wrote:hm. imo this works in the latest 4.5 version (at least it works here) - maybe anybody can confirm this for either version? thanks...badmilk69 wrote:Bug:

NP, I cant guarentee it wont happen to anyone else
.. can only give it a try n report back MY findings
I was having an issue with Garibaldi plugin not showing up on my system after updating to Ds 4.6 (32bit was fine on my desktop but 64bit would not show up!) Strangely, my laptop would run both 64&32bits fine (same software versions on both systems) so I ran Content DB maintinance!
It fixed GB and now shows up

PMSL....Spoke too soon!
CONFIRMED
Your not going to believe this...
....YEP... started Ds in wireframe (importing meshes and creating Ds primatives was fine, during this test!) and loaded one for my scenes and everything goes all grey and locks up
(spinning cursor only).. have to click the lovely little red X to close Ds but results in NO crash report
Restarting Ds with texture shaded mode seems to not crash...at THIS point
Also, 32bit version on laptop (on exit) says shutting down threads but does not close, just get `spinning wheel`. Confirmed on Laptop & Desktop
