i was writing in some threads. Some new features are Livedb acces, mat picker, bug fixes, shader to textures, render passes, etc...
Sorry but mac sdk will be delayed, because of some technical problems

and yes, its confusing what to read where..
sorry to say but moderation of this forum is a mess..
(loads of outdated threads, things posted in different places etc)

Sorry ... but when it comes out the version for C4D 11.5? I hope that you do not erase this version of the program to develop only the version for mac!
It will take weks or months? Unfortunately, to finish my short film I was hoping to use Octane for C4d and not only the exporter.
If ever released the 5.11 version, this will support the Live DB? (Which I find great!)

Installation Problems.
I think I have put everything in the correct place. I realize checking these images is painful but I am not sure how else to make sure everything is in the correct place. I have launched as Admin.. but still I see no plugins under plugins menu.

On the Lib64 should the contents go into Maxon/Cinema 4D R14/resource/res/libs or Maxon/Cinema 4D R14/library

I also tried installing directly into the plugins fdr where everything is in sub fdrs in the plugins fdr

Still nothing shows up... I bet a 6 pack of beer I am making it WAY more complicated than it need be... but I can't get the plugins to show up.

Any ideas on my stupidity??? (Short version please : > ))

give a try copy libs64 stuff to c4d main folder, others is unnecessary

Nope... that did not do it either...

I have uninstalled Cinema and reinstalled it fresh and then put Octane plug stuff in fresh too...

I have a feeling it is user error as I do not see anyone else with a similar prob... just can' think what I might be doing wrong.
