dear roubal,
this is exactly the point for having a background node inside the render target, so you could easily connect different cameras with the same background or having different backgrounds nodes for testing with the same camera
ciao beppe
@bepeg4d : Thanks Beppe ! Now I understand better ! I tried several times to duplicate the RenderTarget node without success, and so I didn't understand the process. I have just understood that the background would be a node connected to an input pin of the RenderTarget.

This said, as a the perspective necessarily changes when you move the camera, we would have to change both the camera node and the background node to change the angle of view. This may allow more versatility in some situations (I don't see one currently), but may be a loss of time in most cases imho.

Connecting the background to the camera would allow very fast switch between cameras/angles of view.

I am not very familiar with some nodes. Have I missed something ?

@merid888 : why are you using an exr image for background ? It is intended for guide/template only, so a jpg, bmp or png should be enough.

Thanks octane team for the quick and steady development.
Added control to make the bokeh in out of focus areas less smooth.
That sounds like music in my ears! Can we expect aperture shape control in the future. Maybe also an option that is driven by Images?
That would be awesome and a real addition to realistic more organic looking bokeh!

waiting for image sequence support and 3d motion blur.
Yes absolutely. Waiting eagerly for motion blur!
And also Displacement support would be more then awesome!

Thanks again for the good Work!
Cheers,
Silverwing

Big thx for the update guys! As usual much appreciated! I really hope you guys are working on Motion Blur and Displacement like Silverwing already said cause i think if this 2 features come up i can finally completly switch to octane and leave my other render engine behind!

Any ideas when this will hit a RC ? Can we expect something like that within this year? This would be great news!

Anyway big thx for your great work so far!

Cheers
