Hi Aoktar,
First, thanks a lot for your great work.
My wishes :
1- Compositing tag (exclude objects from reflection, refraction, transparence etc); I guess it also depends to Octane's SDK, but this feature would give much more flexibility.
2- Render priority option (I know the feature is already present but don't work for me); Currently i can't do anything while rendering (despite a titan card).
3- Sometimes the material preview don't refresh, so it's not easy to identify materials.
Thanks and keep up the good work.

my 5 cents:
- support for c4d layer shaders, all c4d shaders possible (noise, tiles, ... etc)
either in octane specific texture channel (as described below) or direct support (translate a c4d channel to octane imageTexture internally)
- standard c4d channel input in octane imageTexture (and other octane specific channels)
(support of psd textures with layer selection in c4d channel input or layer shaders for example)
- better conversion of c4d/vray materials to octane
- naming of converted materials without prefix
- use of standard c4d material preview scenes, or at least serveral sdk built in preview scenes
- in the different materials types show only the channels that can be used (less confusing)
(not sure if implementing the node system works. this is too far away from c4d probably.
for me its more important to be able to use all the different shaders that c4d supports.)
- global texture and per material downscaling option (max texture size) to save gpu memory
(means texture sent to gpu is a smaller version of the saved texture. for large evermotion textures for example)
- mac version mac version mac version .)
- more detailed manual, some practical howto tutorials

Yep, that would be good. The pack you just released (octane.rar) all show material previews in the content browser perfectly here in R13 - thanks!aoktar wrote:Material previews for Content Browser?Jaybee wrote:Having used the C4D plugin for a couple of weeks my immediate needs are:
1) Material previews! I can't properly organise a library of new Octane mats without it.
2) Support for the C4D Region-Render (would save lots of time being able to correct or tweak a small region of the render only)!
Loving the development so far. Thanks again.

Maybe a 'reset' button for each settings panel?
