Hi Guys i am a newby with this renderer
I noticed that ao is faster but i get very dark, sometimes even black ceilings....
maybe i make some mistakes in setting ao
can anyone help me?

you can adjust the AO distance.
Check that you have not enabled Smooth for your ceiling ! Smooth applied to flat surfaces usually give black artifacts.

it depends to the version of octane, the newest one 1.11 has a white bottom emisphere, some older version have a dark bottom emisphere that gives the dark ceiling effect

In the Daylight system, try to switch between New and Old model. it is the lowest input of the Daylight node, in the node inspector parameters.

Suffering the same problem here with the 1.11 version and the new sky model. No smoothing applied, black goes away if I switch to diffuse lighting kernel (but much longer of course)
