Just wanted to let everyone know that I created a post with links to tutorials for several ways to convert image sequences into videos using several different software packages. This is very useful with the new animation tools in Octane Render.

Here's the post:

beta2.1 RC1 is not working on linux, whenever I try to start the rendering (via loading ocs, adding obj, or simply adding a material), complete with error no CUDA-capable device is available.

beta2 worked properly.
I have reinstalled the CUDA toolkit 3, reinstalled drivers devdriver_3.0_linux_64_195.36.15.run and still same thing happening (already had installed these versions).

What else I can do?

Hello, as I'm currently rebuilding my website from scratch, I have not much time. It's 03:05 and I have installed the brand new octane version. It works on my Geforce 8800 GTS 512.

As I did with the previous versions, I have used the Zip version, so I can run any previous versions without uninstalling anything if necessary.

I have quickly rendered a turntable animation in low quality at 8s/px : Nice feature ! :P

The multi material picker is a great improvement, and the GUI seems more responsive in the Node inspector area.

However, the bug displaying the Device Manager behind the rendering window is still here, and also affect the new windows of the Turntable animation and Daylight animation as well : They also appear behind the rendering window, with just a visible border, and these windows are difficult to drag on my second screen.

This said, it is a great release and I have no fear : at the end of the movie, bad bugs will die !
