My first public Octane work is my own logo in 3D :)
Many thanks to the creator of the Art-Rock texture in the LiveDB, it makes a perfect background.

The logo was first imported in Illustrator for generating the paths?

Yes, the logo was originally made in Illustrator, and opened in Cinema 4D.

There is a great free plugin for C4D that can open native Adobe Illustrator CS6 (and lower) files and extrude, bevel and assign materials (based on layers in AI). It's called CV-Artsmart, it's from Cineversity.
