yes I use the same benchmark, and same setting (PT and no shadow) for 1.11 I also set caustic to 0 (same as 1.10).
I have also tested with 1.0
Windows 8 x64
drivers 310.70
i7 3930K
64GB RAM
2x580GTX 1.5GB (OC) (840 core and 2100 at mem)
1.00
PT no Alpha Shadows: 8.29
Direct Lighting: 44.35
PMC no Alpha Shadows: 7.12
1.10
PT no Alpha Shadows: 8.26
Direct Lighting: 44.69
PMC no Alpha Shadows: 7.02
1.11
PT no Alpha Shadows: 7.90
Direct Lighting: 49.84
PMC no Alpha Shadows: 7.56
Thanks for that,
Looks like there are 4 (possibly relevant) things different than my setup, so we could go through them to see what is happening if you would like.
1) You set caustic blur to zero (this doesn't affect the performance during my tests) so not likely the cause.
2) You are running windows 8, i'm on win 7
3) You are running 310.70 drivers, i'm running 314.07
4) Your cards are overclocked.
My bet is that PT in 1.11 just doesn't respond as favorably to overclocking as 1.00 and 1.10.
I will give overclocking a try with mine as best i can and let you know what i find.
It's interesting to note that PT is the only kernel that runs slower for you, and even then, it's performing faster than mine at stock speeds.
Thanks
Chris.
