Yes, I've prepared the new version, but there are just a few little issues fixed (which were reported here), too little for the new release. So, I'm just waiting for the new version of the engine to release these fixes already with the new engine version...
But the new engine SDK release is a lot of work for Octane engine team, it needs a lot of time to assemble it. So I think I will wait two weeks more, and if the new engine will still be not ready - I will release the new plugin version with just these few little fixes...

Hey Jim Star did the renderlog I sent help you at all on why the batch render quits after a random number of frames?

Starting to do more animation and that is a bit of a killer.

I notice you can't "right click... set key frames" on things like material mix material 1vs 2 bias.
I know you can not key frame stand-alone octane render settings but I was wondering how hard it is to implement this in maya as all the maya shader attributes can be key framed as it is just a value. Perhaps Maya can take the value and key frame it? Does Maya send the octane shader values each time it sends out a frame to octane?

Thanks

Peter

I see in this log that the problem happens not in the plugin, but somewhere inside the engine...
I do not have the engine sources access at the time, so I can't debug it. But I will try to find the reason of it some later...

Maya can only keyframe the simple values (e.g. numbers). The complex values can not be keyframed. It is the same as if you would have the different objects connected to the complex attribute of another object in each frame.

Please enable the verbose mode in Octane settings and attach here all verbose output of Octane after you get this error.
