Does the 2nd GPU has to have the same amount of VRAM in order to work properly... I mean in case you are approaching maxing out your 1st card VRAM but the 2nd card has even less VRAM, can the 2nd GPU still be utilized? And I also I thought Radiance mentioned animation along with GPU in the competition thread. Is it true? Are we getting animation in 2.1?

you need to have the same or more ram on the 2nd GPU.
eg, if you have one card wiht 512MB and one with 1024MB, you can only use up to 512MB, as the whole scene needs to be stored in each GPU separately.

2.1 will offer OBJ based command line flags and a few other animation options,
but not a full RIB/collada based animation pipeline, that's for beta3.

Is that in the neighborhood of moving around camera or move everything up and down kind of thing?
