G'day guys,

Here is something that i might do in the next tutorial.
Its merging alot of passes and editing them together in photoshop or gimp.

Suzanne is the only thing thats *mine* the image was from a random google search

Good start ;) . There is small issue which a aliasing problem at the bottom of the model and a bit to much light.
Maybe as well try with a different color or textured material.

I was trying to test this new feature "shadow catcher", but one thing that I cannot do is to use a background image in the rendered viewport ( i can only see it in the 3DS Max viewport, but in the render I see it mapped as spherical enviroment).
Is there something that I miss?! :?

I think you are referring to screen environment mapping what other render engines can do. Octane only supports spherical mapping at the moment. Just use the 3dsmax viewport background to fit your model correctly and composite over background in your image editor.
