Hi , Octane Team.

I introduce myself, I'm a young designer for a couple of years, and I'm using some softwares like Keyshot for now. Really intuitive to use , and perfect for object design scenery.
But one of my friend told me about you. A revolutionnary engine that could be more powerfull than what I'm using now.

So I trusted.

For professional reasons, I bought a second computer. More powerfull too , equiped with a SLI of 670GTX cards. That's the main reason Octane awakes my curiosity, being a GPU based render engine.

But.

Like many others I DLed the demo. And as many others , Octane crashes during the import of an .obj file. I read some articles about that. But I'm totally lost.
I'm using such a configuration for the first time , the SLI. And my english is not enough right to understand all the functions embeded in Octane.

For example, I don't really understand what is CUDA. I dl the latest version of CUDA, CUDA5. But on the manual , you are talking about the CUDA 3. Is it a problem ?

I'm working with the latest release of nvidia drivers for my cards, 306.97.
I disabled the SLI in the nvidia panel, as specified in the octan panel , in red.

But may I have forgot one thing . Here is a shot of my config panel in octane , do you see something wrong ?

I'm really lost , and don't know how to solve this problem. I don't even manage to open an Octane Scene like you have in your Download sections...
When I import an .obj file , it crashs when I'm clicking on its node...

Help...

Thanx a lot.

This is an old version of Octane. Please go to http://render.otoy.com/downloads.php and get the current demo version.
