octanerender™ standalone edition demo
We recommend all customers interested in purchasing a license to evaluate compatibility with your GPU configuration with these prior to purchasing the commercial version.
octanerender™ requires a CUDA capable NVIDIA graphics card.
The demo version has the following limitations:
- Render resolution output is locked to 1000x600 pixels
- Project and render output cannot be saved
- Online LiveDB material database functionality is not included
octanerender™ 1.1 demo for Windows
Runs on Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8.
Requires a current NVIDIA graphics driver, which you can download here.
octanerender™ 1.1 demo for Mac OSX
Runs on Mac OS 10.6.7 or higher.
Requires an NVIDIA CUDA driver, which you can download here.
octanerender™ 1.1 demo for Linux
Runs on most Linux distributions.
Requires a current NVIDIA graphics driver, which you can download here.
octanerender™ for Autodesk® 3ds Max® demo for Windows
The OctaneRender™ Autodesk® 3ds Max® Plugin Demo has the following limitations:
- Render resolution output is limited to 1000x600 pixels
- Render output contains water marks (Octane logo and stripes)
- Online LiveDB material database functionality is not included
This demo supports Tesla (GT2xx architecture), Fermi and Kepler GPUs, (GeForce, Quadro and Tesla lines). And requires a current (301.42 or higher) NVIDIA graphics driver, which you can download here.
These demos are supplied as a zip files. Please read the install.txt file included in the archive for installation instructions.
Note that this demo version does not require the standalone edition, however the licensed version requires both an OctaneRender™ Standalone edition license and an OctaneRender™ for Autodesk® 3ds Max® Plugin license.

The OctaneRender™ Autodesk® Maya® Plugin Demo has the following limitations:
- Render resolution output is limited to 1000x600 pixels

The OctaneRender™ for Smith Micro's Poser® Plugin Demo has the following limitations:

This demo works with Poser 9, Poser Pro 2012, 32 and 64bit (You must have Poser Service Release 3.1 installed) on MS Windows operating systems (XP, Vista, 7 and 8).

octanerender™ for ArchiCAD demo for Windows
The OctaneRender™ for ArchiCAD Plugin Demo has the following limitations:
The demo version is for ArchiCAD 16 only at this stage.
- Maximum render resolution is 1000x600.
(If you attempt to photorender a resolution greater than this, the output will most likely be blank.) - LiveDB access is not available.
- Viewport and photorender output is watermarked.
- Viewport renders cannot be saved, Photorenders can be saved, but will be watermarked
- Progress Save will not save the render.

This demo works with ArchiCAD v16 (32 and 64bit) on MS Windows operating systems (XP, Vista, 7 and 8).
