is there any way to render Vray Fur in Octane for 3ds max

or some other way to make carpet....plz help me :)

Carpets could be made scatering proxies with the help of forestPack or multiScater =)

The way I have done it so far is to use the standard 'hair and fur' modifier in max.

Once your happy with you're fur you can convert to mesh (under the 'tools' rollout) and max will generate all the hairs as a single mesh. Then disable the modifier. Octane will now render it like any other object. The downside is you can't have it deforming or animating (like flowing hair) but would be fine for a static object such as a carpet, or fur on a solid object. I'm using it on a teddy bear and it looks fine, just make sure you have enough VRAM.
