Why 3DStudio Max 2009 support is still desirable

In short, a lot of 3DSMax die hards explain in the following thread why they have abandoned updates after this the 2009 release:

Also, it is great to read that there are so many other Max users that are equally frustrated about the version cycle Autodesk has chosen.

So this is a +1 for Octane for 3DSMax 2009

The problem is to develop and project all versions.
2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and current 2013 are 5 versions. In the worst case, each version uses an other api.
Use this with 32/64bit, you will have 10 different versions. If you must debug something, you will have 20 versions.

All in all, you have 5 projects with 4 versions each.
