Hi All,
I have been tinkering with the Demo version for a couple of weeks, waiting for the funds to come in to purchase the Beta, but for some reason about two days ago it ceased rendering images. I am able to navigate through the application, load demo scenes and import OBJ files as well as adjust settings. However the render window is frozen. What information do you need to help with this issue? I really like this program and need to resolve the mystery before buying the BETA version.
Cheers
Steve

Hi Steve,
it seems that you updated your NVIDIA graphics driver - probably to 306.23. The previous driver 301.42 didn't have CUDA 5 support yet. I guess, this is causing the problem. To solve it, reinstall driver 301.42 again. Hopefully that will fix your problem.
Cheers,
Marcus

Any other Ideas, It was working before very nicely, but now nothing, although if I monitor the temp on the card it does rise, as if it is doing something...

Please create a new empty project and in it a diffuse material node. Then click on it with the right mouse button and select "Render". Does it render?
Cheers,
Marcus
PS: You can find the current CUDA driver version in the NVIDIA control panel under "System Information" (lower left corner).

Yes, that's what I did, a couple times... (thinking i might do a clean install of windows next...roeland wrote:You can try doing a "clean install" of the driver. If you arrive at the "options" step, choose a "custom install" and in the next screen check the checkbox for doing a clean install. Reboot the computer if necessary.

We have Joy! I am duel booting Ubuntu 12 on this machine, so I thought duh, try it in Linux, It is working there! Actually I was thinking that it was my GPU that had in some way gone belly-up, now I need to figure out why Windows is not working... Continued help is much appreciated.

Thanks for the help.
