I figured Octane does not yet have a shadow catcher and have been reading threads regarding techinques (some). Then I did a test using a green-screen-ish setup which worked pretty well for a simple setting like this (It could very possibly be that this has been posted before, but I didn't take the time to check all current shadow catcher threads
):

Here is another example where I used a red screen instead of a greenscreen (Mostly because the LAV was green-ish). This time I also animated and tracked it onto a real life plate just to see how effective it was in this type of scenario.
