Hi all,
I realized this animation to test Octane for Max 3.0a
I used the walkthrough recording mode then the keyframes aren't perfect.

What I want to show you is that with one minute for frame is possible to create a semi-photorealistic animation with Octane at 1280x720
One single workstation used (4xGTX580)

Now I'm editing 1500 frames more with the latest scene.
All objects are instanced.

Great to see finally an animation from you Gabriele :)

Really well done and i think it looks quite realistic. The direct lightning kernel
is too underrated in my opinion. It looks great and it's very fast.

Gabriele, you are the man!
I love it.. It's like dancing to the music...
That works great with the classic music.
( where did you get the music btw?)
Love the details.. No.. Love it all!

nice,
in retrospective I was more impressed with the stills :)
often a still picture can give out different impression than the animation

wow! You get it! Can,t wait to see more animation from you! I disagree with the still comment and think you are a filmmaker. When you put your mind to the next film you will kill it

Greetz,

music is castadiva, from la Norma, Bellini. I guess the singer is Maria Callas.

Great work Gabriele! I think some camera movement could have been smoother, but is still really amusing work!

About the possibility of rendering this anim within 1 min per frame, well... yes is possible... if you have the possibility of spending about 1400 euro on graphic cards :D
