Hi all,
I realized this animation to test Octane for Max 3.0a
I used the walkthrough recording mode then the keyframes aren't perfect.
What I want to show you is that with one minute for frame is possible to create a semi-photorealistic animation with Octane at 1280x720
One single workstation used (4xGTX580)
Now I'm editing 1500 frames more with the latest scene.
All objects are instanced.

Great to see finally an animation from you Gabriele
Really well done and i think it looks quite realistic. The direct lightning kernel
is too underrated in my opinion. It looks great and it's very fast.

nice,
in retrospective I was more impressed with the stills
often a still picture can give out different impression than the animation

Greetz,
music is castadiva, from la Norma, Bellini. I guess the singer is Maria Callas.
Great work Gabriele! I think some camera movement could have been smoother, but is still really amusing work!
About the possibility of rendering this anim within 1 min per frame, well... yes is possible... if you have the possibility of spending about 1400 euro on graphic cards
