Just some boring clay renders of an old subdivision surface model i made for a client in Modo. I never done render before so want to start learning it with Octane. Still have some minor modeling to add, then i'll texture it. Its 600,000 triangles uses about 150 MB of RAM.
edit: here is the client's rendition: http://www.luxology.com/gallery/image.aspx?id=9981

Well here is some texture renders, path tracing,33 minutes. I think i should try something more simple to test out studio lighting setup(bounces cards, etc). Is there a way to hide the HDRI image while still using it to light the scene?
you mean do not see the hdri in the background? put a plane behind it
Amazing render, modelling so clean...
