If it crashes with Tonemapping active, probably the PCI bus of the second GPU is too slow.

Please, try theses steps.
- Go to Nvidia Control panel, menu Help, and enable the Debug Mode, to work with GPUs at default clock.
- Connect one monitor per GPU, to reduce the available VRAM more uniformly .
- In Devices panel, enable the Priority for both GPUs, and set the Priority popup to LOW
