Hey Chris thanks for getting back to me and it does seem to work, (to a point). Here's the update. So if I have the octane standalone renderer open it will see the slave in the network and allow me to activate it...This is true also for the Octane maya plugin. However my lightwave plugin does not ...

today I bought a new stand alone license so that I can use a secondary pc to help render over the network.... to be fair I am not a network savvy kind of guy but I've followed everything, (at least I think I have),that is in the stand alone manual and I am no further along..... I honestly don't know ...

Hi all I'm running 2x gtx780s and I'm running into a render issue. I'm rendering water... (an under water shot), In the IPR window the water shows up fine with refraction, waves.... the whole deal and yet when I send it to render the frames are black....well there is a little movement to be seen ...

Sounds like a plan before I send the file however, I'm just going to take the camera out of the hierarchy to see if it makes a difference.

Shaky octane camera
Hey all, my octane camera is shaking like crazy in a shot that I've just finished animating. I looked around the forums and some users had a similar issue with Max. I was wondering if anyone in the lw forum had come across this issue and came up with a work around?

I had a similar issue, I had just bought 2 new video cards though. After checking each card individually with renders the render always failed on one of the cards but worked fine with the other card. When both cards were active the render would always crap out at the same point. Turns out one of the ...

Hi all I have the standalone and a lightwave license, I'm looking at grabbing a maya license also... common sense tells me that since I already have a standalone license all I need to do is buy the maya licence right?
