I have 2 slaves, neither are showing up in the network preferences. All three machines allow Cinema4d and Octane through firewall (I've even tried turning the firewall completely off for the master and 2 slaves)

Still nothing is showing up.

(I'm subscribed to the Enterprise Ultimate Bundle.)

Can there be several GPUs used in a slave machine? I'm thinking what basically amounts to a cryto mining rig (6-8 cards) only it'll be for rendering. I also have 3 other machines with a single card each. These currently work great as a farm, but ...

Render Layer Masks are not rendered by Octane, but by Cinema 4D instead, on the CPU. If you are using Render Layers, that is your suspect.

If I wanted to have the farm nodes render individual frames (instead of pooling together as they do now) that would require another stand alone (studio ...

I wonder... since I'm rendering several passes into an EXR, if that might be why its so slow? Because the farm nodes don't contribute to that, correct? So they are just chillin' there waiting for the main PC to send them their next frame?

I'll do some tests later today when I have time, and see ...

I installed the 2020.2.2 node on my 2nd PC... but I have no idea how to get my main PC to see it.
So much has changed over the years that googling is completely pointless. Can anyone steer me in the right direction?

I've tried the typical reload texture button, using the node editor to unlink and then relink, completely clear the texture form the material and then re-importing it, hitting 'render materials' in the material box... I can't even think of what ...

I got a response from the OTOY team. Looks like it's a Toon material issue:

there is a known issue with Toon material introduced in 2020.2 SDK after RC6, and will be fixed in 2020.2.2.SDK.

In the meantime, you need to go back to 2020.2-RC6, please download and install based on your license type ...
