CUDA error 719 on device 0: unspecified launch failure
-> failed to wait for event
device 0: direct light kernel failed
This was working fine last week so I don't know what is happening. At first I thought it was the toon material, but whencreating a new project, I'll get the same error.
After a restart, creating a new project works... and even the toon project works for a min or two... but then I get the errors.
OctaneRender Enterprise 2020.2.1 (10021301)
c4d 21.207
Windows 10
RTX 2080ti (driver 456.71)
EDIT: I updated GPU driver to 465.89, but still getting same error
EDIT2: I also updated c4d to R23, but still getting same error
suddenly getting CUDA error 719 & direct light kernal failed

I got a response from the OTOY team. Looks like it's a Toon material issue:
there is a known issue with Toon material introduced in 2020.2 SDK after RC6, and will be fixed in 2020.2.2.SDK.
In the meantime, you need to go back to 2020.2-RC6, please download and install based on your license type and operating system
If not, please make sure to upgrade c4doctane to v2020.2.1-R3.

Just wanted to post it here in case someone stumbled upon this post via google or whatnot.
