Sorry, im a dumbass and cant read instructions. I only had to remove .cdl64 files for other C4D versions from the plugin folder and it fixed the freeze (so far works on 417.71 drivers too).

Same issue here. Installed the update and c4d freezes dead. I thought it's a driver issue at first, updated to the latest ones, still freezes. Except, now i get cuda 999 error on any other version of octane. Gonna have to somehow roll back the nvidia drivers (but, as i found out later, it's a ...
