Mixing GTX and RTX does not lead to issues right?
Just lost another GPU..

Viewport? Please give some details with screenshot. What do you see in console window?iDlart wrote:Freeze when trying to initalize viewport on start.

I seem to be having the same issue as some others on here.
When starting up C4D R19 on V4.02.1-R2, the program will open and hang before the grid appears, immediately becoming unresponsive. Restarting/reinstalling/clean installing didn't solve it.
I had to roll back to the previous version and it's working fine again.

Yes, eGPU, I mentioned this when raising the issue with 4, 4.01 and 4.02. I have tried parallel and max tile at 1, 1 but no change to C4D UI response.aoktar wrote:
I don't think it's a plugin issue, plugins are not using gpu itself. Core is running at background and using gpus.
1-Are you using e-gpu?
2-How is your device settings and others part in settings?
3-Try with parallel samples=1 and max tile samples=1 from kernels. And try to use "sub sampling=2x" if makes any difference.
Other than this send me PM for a remote connect.
I will look into different drivers as frankmci mentioned on the 4.01 thread, he has mentioned 378.05.05.25f01. When I updated to 10.12.6 it seemed to want 378.05.05.25f01 but frankmci says he is on 25f04 and OK.
If still no difference then screen sharing would I hope help to explain the issue, I will PM you if this second driver change still doesn't have an effect.
Thanks

Quick help, I couldn't log in to the standalone and cinema 4d after updating to 4.02.1, the error is 'could not find the required license'. But I do have a monthly subscription.
Same issue here. Installed the update and c4d freezes dead. I thought it's a driver issue at first, updated to the latest ones, still freezes. Except, now i get cuda 999 error on any other version of octane. Gonna have to somehow roll back the nvidia drivers (but, as i found out later, it's a completely separate issue). I wish you guys did a little more testing before calling it stable
It's tested enough. Try with driver 417.22.GiWest wrote:Same issue here. Installed the update and c4d freezes dead. I thought it's a driver issue at first, updated to the latest ones, still freezes.
