Hello there,
I've been struggling lately to make Octane 2019 work on both R20 and R21. Everything was working fine and suddenly a couple days ago things stopped working at all.
C4D crashes when launching the LV, when using the Node Editor, etc. Basically impossible to avoid the problem so far. I'm ...

Re: scatter object - animated noise
Hello guys,
I'm having a similar problem using animated trees with Forester and the Scatter tool. If i use a single animated tree, an Octane Tag does the trick and shows the animation in the Picture viewer. However, when I try to scatter the trees, the animation doesn't pass along. The only ...

Re: When will the service be available?
Well, that's a pretty good presentation. Impressive roadmap ahead.
BUT, for my taste, it's all too technical for me to understand how it's going to work. The words "buckets", "bench", doesn't give me an idea if ORC is going to let me rest assured I will hit my deadlines and not destroy my budgets ...

Re: When will the service be available?
Just one point: you shouldn't give your clients too tight deadlines. Deadlines should be realistic.
I know that clients comes to you, wants you to create a stunning, Hollywood quality animation, in two days and it should cost 1000$ (including taxes).
If people agrees to do this, it really is not ...

Re: When will the service be available?
Sure, let's talk after the conference, but in the meantime, you are losing users to other render engines because even the people who can afford having a 4X GTX rig (or bigger) are having problems to hit deadlines. Yes, Octane is faster than anything I have tried, but the inability to outsource the ...

When will the service be available?
Hello.
I don't know about the rest of the people here, but I think you should put priority work on having ORC available to all as soon as possible. I love Octane, but this is the second big project I try to use it and end up going back to Arnold because of the renderfarm support. Yes, Octane is ...

Network Rendering
Hello there,
I'm having a small problem trying to render with network assistance. I'm not sure why, but the behaviour of the netwok is pretty erratic. Sometimes it uses the other GPU, sometimes not. Most of the time i have to go into the setting and re-check the network rendering option and re ...

Octane for C4D and Windows 10 problem.
Hello there,
Just upgraded to Windows 10 and Octane for C4D (R15) has stopped working. Sending the scene takes an unusual long time (even the simplest ones) and can't get any feedback on the live viewer. Any ideas on how to fix-it?
Thanks!
