I was planning on getting a 770 4GB but there is a really good discount here for 780ti right new, which makes its price quite close to 770 4gb.

Playing with the octane standalone demo, amazed by it's power! However, I'm not ble to remove the white dots that's happening in a pmc and pathtracing method. Attached an image that's sampled in 2048. Hotpixel value is at 0.7.

I think I've solved to create sss octane material directly in c4d without node editing:
*created a diffuse material
*set the tranmission color to what I want it to be, that's the color of the scattered light
*added "scattering medium" to medium tab of the material, and payed with the settings
