If the Octane's sun had softshadows....Daniel79 wrote:No one has advice for improving the leaf?
I think the effect is good...
You can add a glow effect in AE.
quad Titan Kepler 6GB + quad Titan X Pascal 12GB + quad GTX1080 8GB + dual GTX1080Ti 11GB
I agree that there are too many leaves, but I do not know how to reduce them at random. (i use rhino ... maybe i can try whit grasshopper) ....ycarry wrote:Reduce number of leaf (divide by 2 or 3)
then add more polygons and add material to branch/trunk
then you/we see better translucency effect...
Only the leaves I am interested to test ... after , I'll try to render the tree.
Thanks a lot at all

here is one of my test with specular-sss + glossy

I have not tried because I believe that the "specular sss" is slower than the diffuse sss ... maybe I'm wrong.
you may also post the settings for reference of your leaf??
Grazie beppe

sorry daniele but i suggest you to use a diffuse + glossy for a more interesting result, anyway i prefer the specular + glossy, it's a bit slower but not to much
here is an example of diffuse-sss+glossy
ciao beppe
p.s. i forgot to mention that this tree is made with Treesketch2 on iPad
