Hi

Octane is Amazing, i test it for a short time and is impressive the quality and incredible lighting speed that it has (even in a old cheap video card).

With the wonderful quality and AMAZING speed, this render will be perfect for render character animation, and regarding that, i will like to make some questions, please if you can answer them i will appreciate it.

1-I was reading that version 1.0 of OCTANE will support rib and collada, i`m not familiar with those formats, when i want to export a mesh deformed animation i combine all the meshes in maya (which still keeps the animation intact) and then i make a geometry cache of the combined meshes...does collada or rib allows geometry point cache of combined meshes..?

2-When rendering an animation, will OCTANE allows me to set how much time to render each frame?, lets say that each render of an animation takes 15 minutes to render with out noise, but i want instead that OCTANE renders each frame in 30 seconds...it will have noise but maybe i want a preview of the animation and i don`t want the render to go all the way...

Thank you very much

You will be able to set the number of samples per pixel I would imagine, so for a preview you might go with 25-100 samples per pixel but then put that up to 1000-5000 for a final render.
