Hello Octane

........ Instances when the application will be implemented?

In your opinion will be an obstacle or a point in your list that you do not mind?

For those working in architecture have the instance would be a great advantage ..... trees and other vegetation could be replicated without problems.

For this and other stories that come to mind right now .... maybe the plugin would be very helpful to use duplicates of various 3D applications....( for me now surface spread is essential for producing vegetation on the outside.)

Last question ..... the chance to work with multiple graphics cards ..... very good .... but also be able to join the network to other PCs effort ... it would not hurt .... a network render in first release ..... .... could be a strong point.

Anyway after all this papyrus ..... your choice to make a node sw fully open ..... I am excited

best..... :D

I see Maxwell has picked up on VRay and implemented proxies.
Would proxies be a possible option for V2.0 release?

Congrats on the excellent work to date.

Edit: also read that largest render is 4096 x 4096. Will the renderable size increase in time?
I'm thinking of large format poster sized art. :)

Currently its 4096 but @radiance has said he'll look at making it bigger.
I dont know about poster size at high res, but A2 size @240dpi for print is in the general ballpark of 4096^2 already..or A3 if you want to minimise jaggies.
You might have to compromise your textures a bit to offset a larger render if the video memory on your card is limited.
I guess we'll have to wait and see what cunning scheme @radiance comes up with.
I would think there will be some commercial users who would like A1 if possible so I think bigger will be considered as development continues...
HTH

Edit: btw A1 would be something like ex 8192x5632 in *round* chunks of 512 so thats something pretty big to aspire to..
