When I use the animation script, it exports the .obj, then octane starts, it says voxelizing, etc. then octane closes freezes. The .obj that is created is fine, but the animation script doesn't seem to work at all. It does this no matter the scene I am running, I tried it with just a sphere and a plane, and a couple other things, and a few different file paths for the different settings in the plug-in. I am using maya 2012. I thought I read somewhere that the plugin would work, but I don't know. Also, latest of octane, and windows 7 64 bit. Thanks.

This is very strange. I realized that octane and maya weren't crashing, octane was just finishing the frame really quickly and then closing, and maya is 'Rendering,' (what its rendering I still am not sure), but maya was failing to advance to the next frame and was hence "freezing," but really I could just cancel the render (which was interminable because of an unrelated maya 2012 bug). But even after I fixed that it still didn't work.
The solution seems to be that the script just didn't like where I had elected to save the images. I changed the file path and it was fine. Put everything on the desktop and its good to go. I really don't understand. I also don't know why maya itself would stall on "rendering." The image is coming out of octane I assume. If anyone else gets this, change the location of the files and see if that works I guess.
