Octane imager not affecting the viewport render

for some reason changes to the octane imager settings do not affect the viewport render, however it does affect the final rendering. However changes to post processing settings (chromatic aborasion etc) do change the viewport render..... I have both the override boxes ticked in the viewport top right corner, and I am not sure what else I can check to try and fix it......
