I'm trying the Octane demo (OctaneRender_Demo_2026_2_for_3dsmax_v26.6.exe) for 3ds max 2026 and ran into an issue:
Vertex Displacement's Auto bump map is amazing for great + fast displacement results, but it's not pretty when zoomed in. I do understand that nothing will magically increase the resolution of my input texture, but if there's a way to simply smooth out the sharp squares (eg. using bicubic texture sampling) that would be awesome. Is there a feature or option I haven't found for this?
3ds max - Is it possible to smoothen out Vertex Displacement's Auto bump map so pixel squares are soft instead of sharp?
