Hi,
So I've been using Octane for Blender for a over a year now and only in the past couple of months started to get this issue;
Currently I'm using Octane Blender 30.9.0, Octane Server Prime 30.9
I start a render animation, I get 4K 1500 samples rendered in 1 min 19s at 214.39 Ms/sec, then it starts to update shaders for the next frame and it barely goes above 2.14 Ms/sec hardly rendering the image at all, then I need to close the render, hit "Render Animation" again, it will be fine for the first 1 sometimes 2 frames and then AGAIN get stuck on 1 to 4 Ms/sec until I have to close the render again and re-open.
- This doesn't just happen on Animation Renders, normal Renders and Rendered Viewport act the same way, I'd have to turn it off and on again for it to work properly.
During the render my Memory is at 951 MiB, and the VRAM is at 1.2 / 11.7 GiB, this doesn't change whether render is going fast or not at all.
Here's my computer spec: RTX 4070 SUPER, AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 8-Core, 64GB DDR5 RAM
Here's what I've tried:
- Updating & Swapping between NVIDIA Game Ready & Studio Drivers - both same result
-Activating Out of Core Rendering with core mem limit 30000, GPU headroom 750 = made no difference
-Yesterday I changed back to Octane Blender 30.7.0 Octane Server Prime 30.7.0 and it worked flawlessly, render animation had no problems at all with keeping up 200+ Ms/sec over every frame, however today I tried it again and same issue. I've been trying to swap between 30.9.0 and 30.7.0 however today both have exact same issue.
Any idea on what is causing these massive Ms/sec drops between frames?
I use Blender Cycles, Substance 3D Painter, Mari, sometimes play video games, have 0 issues in GPU performance / artifacting etc.. only in Octane Blender is when the performance falls apart.
Octane for Blender Ms/sec HUGE declines on new renders
