Hey
Super strange, I tried every way possible to get control over the depth of the field, just keep getting blurry images it's working fine in Karma
I have auto focus off, and setting focal depth or anything else doesn't work?
Is there some kinda hidden setting?
solaris cam blurry
Has the flange distance been appropriately adjusted?
Humor aside, what camera type is being used?
If the issue is occurring with the Thin Lens, it could indicate a bug.
Worth mentioning, ƒ-stop at minimum does not disable DoF; the aperture at 0 does.
In the kernel settings, is the filtering option at default ≤1.2 or >?
If it doesn't come from the camera, it could come from the kernel especially if it's global (regardless of the camera type and settings).

Yerh been trying everything you said, but nothing seems to work
Here is a video. Not sure what's wrong here?
kernel 1.2 or less - aperture a 0, no matter what cam I use
still blurry
Edit: trying to upload a video seems like it's not posting

Compatibility related? mp4 should work with most related codecs.
but videos on this forum must be downloaded to be viewed, which is not always a possibility for everyone.
It's best if uploaded online, such as YouTube unlisted, perhaps?

When exported as ORBX (if possible), does it result in an abnormally blurry output in Standalone?
Until the video, was this tested with a default Thin Lens camera type?
If by default it persists and consistently yields blurry output, and if tested on a basic project file (a plane with 2, 3 basic primitive for depth and a light on Path Tracing kernel) as in reproducible, then it's showing signs of a bug.
At this stage, it would be necessary to be informed on the build version of everything.
Furthermore, if it's a single project file situation, as much information about the project file for analysis, or the project file itself (which can be privately sent to the devs or publicly in the forum replies) would be the way moving forward.

Almost sure something wrong is going on in 20.5.584 build - everything works just fine in 20.5.550
Thanks
Thanks
Houdini 584 build had a bunch of issues with the UI. Most of the Octane problems in this build are actually houdini build issues. I would recommended going back to 550 or forward to 613 as those did not have these issues.
