I would like to present advanced Sky-Rig system for Cinema 4D.

Using this rig you can have possibility to change every parameters of Sky, Horizon and HDRI map as you like with some special features :

- Cloudy sky simulation with soft transition from clear to cloudy sky included special Custom model
- Two Sky models included - Custom, Hosek & Wilkie
- Sun height, Sky rotation with individual HDRI map rotation connected to global Sky horizontal rotation
- Many options to change color of Sky models and HDRI maps like temperature, saturation, exposure, gamma
- Disconnected Sky power from Sun Power - fell free to change them individually
- Individual color controls for Sun and Sky parameters
- Support for Horizon Line maps with included alpha - they can be scaled, moved with repeating effect
- Virtual ground plane for HDRI maps which doesn't have included ground that works like backlight - fully customizable
- Reflection only HDRI and 8-bit spherical map support
- Two HDRI maps for fast switching and comparison
- Camera white point included
- Reset to default buttons

If I may make a suggestion. Attached is the basic sky rig I use, and I use it for one single reason; it allows me to rotate the hdr lighting rig however I wish via the child null object. Might be worth incorporating something like this into your rig because the horizontal and vertical sliding options dont give the control needed.

I have this implemented already - there is main, global rotation for sky and HDRI, additionally you can rotate HDRI map individually too.

Thanks, man!
Just bought it and gave you a positive review.
Works great.
A bit of weird behavior when activates Hosek Willkie and switch using HDRI back and forth: I don't see background or reflections of the Hosek Willkie model.
It uses HDRI background and light. I f I have nothing in the HDRI slots, it gets me a black environment. And yes, all boxes are ticked off.
C4D 2025.1.1 and Octane 2024.1.2, and am using a visible background env for white backgdrop.
Only way to make Hosek Willkie model to work, is when I check on to the "Sky Mixxing" box.
Will record a gif and share here. Or maybe I am doing something wrong.
Otherwise the rig is really great!

Thank you for reporting that and positive review :) I located issue - wrong logical operation while switching Sky object after added mixing Sky with HDRI in last update.

It will be updated within hour. Also new update is coming within day or two - added possibility to mix, blend two HDRI maps using slider.

I have near ready simulation for animated cloud shadows - it will be added within week.

Added option for mixing two HDRI maps with special customizable overall mode.
Fully integrated with previous functions like Sun mix and individual color corrections for each HDR map.

Very powerful because you can create you own lighting based on HDRI maps using many options with creating backlight from partially cloudy sky using main clear sky form HDR map for example. Or even mix evening sky with cloudy one using only its sunlight !
