Actually all drivers after 552.22 are causing C4d stability issues for me. Octane works fine with 552.22 but I'm getting issues with other software because of not updating the driver. (X-particles, After Effects)
Is anyone able to run Octane (2023.1.3 R3,4) C4d 2024.4, with a Studio Driver newer than version 552.22?
Thanks
Nvidia Studio Driver 555.99 causes instability.

man thanks for this - just switched over to Octane for a project for this first time in a while, and spent like hours trying different versions of octane and c4d etc
bugs experienced - 1 sample in IPR then crash.
moving the camera around in a simple scene would eventually crash after 5-10secs.
octane log popping up with CUDA errors
octane log popping up with memory issues.
octane log "octane c4d device 0: failed to bind device to thread, since it's already bound"
etc etc, I just updated to the latest studio drivers (as the thread said to do so) and hadnt thought about it being the culprit.
Just rolled back to a clean install of 552.22 with no issues so far, thanks again.

Hi,
I'm on 555.99 Studio for last 5-6 days and havent noticed issues, rendering for days 24/7.
Granted not in C4D (i use LightWave plugin) but still Octane behaves fine on all 3 of my machines (2x intel i7 and one AMD TrPro)

I've had issues with newer drivers as well. Went back to 552.22 and things have been fine for a couple of months. I'm considering moving up to 560.7, but wanted to see if anyone has updates here. Anyone running the latest driver from 7/16 without problems?

Unfortunately, Nvidia Studio 560.70 version doesn't solve the stability issue, please stay with 552.22!

Is OTOY contacted Nvidia about this issue ?bepeg4d wrote:Unfortunately, Nvidia Studio 560.70 version doesn't solve the stability issue, please stay with 552.22!

I ask because for Davinci Resolve 19.x and some nice AI features it requires newer drivers than 552.x so it's tricky to install/reinstall drivers "per program" usage...

I understand your pain, I'm 50/50 3d Artist/Video Editor. Adobe products are starting to get more buggy than usual. I hope this gets straightened out, this seems like a longer gap than normal.Lewis wrote:Is OTOY contacted Nvidia about this issue ?bepeg4d wrote:Unfortunately, Nvidia Studio 560.70 version doesn't solve the stability issue, please stay with 552.22!
