Just wanted to share a small tip that I discovered a few weeks back.

Im on a MAC studio with the M2 chip.. If your experience with octane on Mac has been anything like mine.. you're getting very regular render failures in the live viewer. The problem is that i used to have to quit cinema and start it up again to get around that error. Maybe thats just me, but it has been a consistent problem across multiple scenes and versions.

However... i've found a much quicker work around. if you switch OFF your apple chip under "available devices" under "settings" in the "Octane Settings" window, and then hit restart new render in the live viewer it will give you an error Saying " NO GPU SELECTED".. go back and switch your gpu on and hey presto when you now hit restart render, it works! (well in most instances!). this wont cover a problem where the scene just wont render no mater what.. but a scene which has just chucked a momentary glitch, this works.. which in my experience is about 90% of my render failures.

if this is indeed a problem others are having regularly.. it may be handy to have a flush/restart GPU button in octane to speed up the process.

anyway hope its useful.
