I am just wondering what kind of reason will there be later, to use the node editor. Will we be able to make more complex materials not possible with the properties editor on the right? Or maybe something else? I just love nodes editor being an xsi user :-)

yes, that's why it was developed.
at the moment it's not very powerfull yet but we will develop it more.

should we expect some basic node-based composition features like these in Ramen, in Octane?
