otcane metaballs and Light pass

Hello,

I have a big sphere, an particle emitter in it that generates smaller spheres and this all in a metaball object, so I have a great water dropping scene.
My challenge is the lightning. The drops have an other material and they need more light. So I create one with Light pass ID 1 for the whole scene and one Light with Light pass 2 for the drops.
It don´t works. It seems that the octane tag only works on the top of the metaball hirarchy. The octane tag on the particles seem to have no effect. Could that be?
