Hi Guys,
I can't find any info about what versions of Octane Render are currently supported in RNDR.
Can I assume, that the current "Latest stable version" (currently 2023.1.2) allways works in RNDR?
Does RNDR support the latest version of Octane? (2023.1.2)
Hi,
when you create a Job, there is a "Render Engine Version" popup, and currently, the supported version is 2023.1, so a couple of versions older than 2023.1.2: ciao,
Beppe

I See,
Actually, it’s not optimal, to get this information only when you actually start a render job. We would have to know this in advance.
For example, the reason why I was asking is: We are currently at the beginning of a big client project that will most probably require rendering via RNDR.
If we update now to the latest version of Octane, we will find ourselves incapable of rendering the scenes via RNDR because we would find out when it is already too late to change ship.

Hi,
you shouldn't have any issues in rendering a 2023.1.2 scene with RNDR 2023.1, anyway, before loading the job, you can always open your .orbx scene with Standalone 2023.1 to check that everything is ok.

Thank you Beppe,
that is good to know. Maby we do update then before the project starts.

Oh - just ran into the same wall, so the Render Network Wizard alerts me that 2023.1.3 [R4] is the most recent Octane version supported and C4D 2024.5.1 the most recent C4D one. Those are not too recent at this point.
Is there any word on when it will be updated? As I understand, outdated C4D is less of an issue if no new features are used, but reverting to Octane 2023 from 2024 sounds like trouble.

Running in the same problem: currently working on a project I planned to render on the network. C4D 2025 and latest stable octane 2024. RNDR not even supports the latest octane 2023 so I would have to go back to c4d 2024 to export the project. I know you can't support the latest version, but it we are ahavibng the alpha vesion of 2026...
